Lindsey y Atteneri son una pareja de lesbianas que han quedado embarazadas gracias al Método ROPA.Son de Alemania y se han desplazado hasta Barcelona para seguir el tratamiento que les hemos ofrecido y la verdad es que estamos muy contentas: ¡ya están de 10 semanas!Ellas han querido compartir su experiencia con todas nosotras y, por eso, os la traemos hoy a nuestro blog.Gracias, Lindsey y Atteneri, por confiar en Lesmaternity. ¡Que disfrutéis mucho de vuestro embarazo!Os dejamos con su testimonio traducido al castellano: Sabíamos que estábamos preparadas para comenzar a crear nuestra familia, pero teníamos dudas de cómo embarcarnos en esta aventura. Al buscar la información, todo nos resultaba complicado: ¿cómo será el donante, qué tratamiento elegir, dónde realizarlo?Somos una pareja con mezcla entre español, alemán y canadiense. Llevamos más de 7 años juntas y vivimos en Alemania, por lo que la pregunta de dónde realizar el tratamiento era crucial para nosotras.

Afortunadamente, España tiene una de las legislaciones más avanzadas a nivel de tratamientos de reproducción asistida para parejas de lesbianas.

Nos hablaron del Método Ropa y pensamos: «es perfecto para nosotras» porque las dos podremos compartir en esta aventura no solamente en el aspecto emocional sino también en el aspecto físico.Aun así, teníamos muchas dudas porque pensábamos que sería muy complicado, no sólo por vivir en Alemania sino porque nos imaginábamos que el tratamiento sería arduo y tedioso.Comenzamos a buscar Clínicas y encontramos «Lesmaternity», Beatriz nos guió y nos condujo a la Clínica con la que colaboraban.

Desde el principio las cosas fueron mucho más fácil de lo que nos imaginábamos.

Conocimos a todo el equipo de la Clínica y la Dra. Serra nos explicó todo el tratamiento detenidamente. Nos sentimos tranquilas y en buenas manos. Nos sorprendimos al darnos cuenta de que podíamos empezar el tratamiento en Alemania y que sólo tendríamos que venir a Barcelona durante unos días.Encontramos los aspectos médicos muy sencillos y no notamos efectos secundarios durante la medicación.Durante todo el proceso nos sentimos arropadas por la Clínica y por Lesmaternity. El contacto era sencillo y directo, en caso de tener alguna duda y pregunta (y teníamos muchas). ¡Nos sentimos tan protegidas que hasta echamos de menos al equipo médico una vez finalizado el tratamiento!Ahora, ya embarazadas de 10 semanas, estamos felices y con muchas ganas de conocer a nuestro bebé.

Everything wasunclear at the beginning: What type of donor? What method? Where?We are a mixed couple Spanish-German-Canadian, that have been togetherfor seven years, so the question as to “where” was very broad forus.Luckily for us, Spain has very advanced reproductive rights andtherefore a diversity of possibilities. When we heard of “metodaROPA” we thought “that is the perfect option for us”. This way weboth get to share not only the emotional but also the physicalexperience of this adventure.But we had our doubts. We thought it would be really complicated… notjust with us living on Germany at the moment, but we also imagined themedical treatment as complicated.We started looking for clinics and via Beatriz from “Lesmaternity”discovered the Clinic they collaborate with. From the beginning of the process, things werea lot easier than expected. Once we went to Barcelona and met everyoneat the clinic and Dra. Serra explained the process step for step, wefelt assured. A date was set upon the first meeting and we weresurprised to discover that we could already start the treatment shortlyafter in Germany and only had to be present in Barcelona for a couple ofdays.Both of us found the medical aspects quite clear and neither of ussuffered from any side effects. During the whole time the team at theclinic and Lesmartinity were very caring and easy to contact if we wereunsure or had questions… (and we definitely had a lot of questions!)Maybe that is why in the end all seemed quite naturally and easy. Weeven started missing the team at the Clinic once the treatment was over andstill remain in contact with them.We are very happy and looking forward to being moms.
